It's simply impossible for us to prepare an accurate proposal without an indication of your budget. Please be honest - we're adept at maximising smaller budgets, as well as fully utilising larger ones.

If you have a current website, what aspects of it are successful? Why do you think that is?
What aspects of your current site are unsuccessful? Why do you think that is?

This could be problems reported by your users, or problems experienced by you or your staff, etc.
Please list some business objectives for your new website (in order of importance).

e.g. improve sales; save money; increase customer satisfaction; reduce time spent searching for information; generate new leads, etc. Be as specific as possible.
How will you measure if the project is a success?

e.g. 20% increase in sales, 70% of surveyed

Who is your audience?
Who will be the primary and secondary users of your site? What do they do for a living? What is important to them?
What is the primary action a person will take on your website?

e.g. viewing a portfolio, buying a product, looking for help, reading the content.
How do you hope visitors will typically arrive at your website? List as many routes as you think appropriate.

Via a search engine? What phrases will they be searching for? Via other advertising? Referrals?
Your competition
Please give details of 2 or 3 of your competitors. What are their website addresses? What are their particular strengths and weaknesses?

Even if you are a non-profit you compete with someone.

What kind of feelings would you like a visitor to experience while visiting your site?

Some examples are: excitement, comfort, inspiration, connectedness.
Use a few adjectives to describe how a visitor should perceive the look and feel of your website and your business.

Some examples include: edgy, friendly, classic, fun, forward-thinking, innovative, traditional, crisp.
